Custom honey labels made for real handling conditions

Honey packaging looks simple, but the label has to survive a few difficult conditions: sticky drips around the rim, oily or sugary residue from handling, pantry storage, and repeated touching at markets, stores, and at home. For this reason, we recommend PP White or PP Matte White waterproof material with permanent adhesive for most honey jars and squeeze bottles.

Sticker Central prints honey labels in Tiaong, Quezon and ships nationwide. You can use them for glass honey jars, plastic squeeze bottles, gift sets, farmers market packs, lid stickers, tamper-style seals, and front-and-back label sets.

Recommended material, adhesive, and finish

For glass honey jars

Glass jars usually need a clean, premium-looking label with strong adhesion on a smooth surface. PP Matte White 1 works well for everyday indoor glass jar labels when you want a natural, farm, artisanal, or rustic look. If the jar has more curves, will be handled often, or may face more moisture, consider PP Matte White 2 or PP Glossy White 2 because these are suited for curved containers, waterproof applications, and more demanding surfaces.

For plastic squeeze bottles

Squeeze bottles flex more than glass and are touched more often during use. A permanent adhesive is recommended so the label does not lift quickly from the edges. Glossy PP can make bright honey colors, fruit variants, and retail gift lines look more vibrant, while matte PP gives a softer, less shiny label that suits natural farm branding.

When not to use paper-like indoor materials

Regular Satin and Hi-gloss are economical indoor options, but they are not waterproof. For honey, these are better reserved for dry secondary packaging such as boxes, hang tags, or flat display cards, not for the main jar or squeeze bottle label that may encounter sticky hands, wiping, or moisture.

Matte or glossy laminate: which should you choose?

  • Matte laminate: Good for raw honey, wild honey, farm-to-table branding, minimalist designs, and kraft box gift sets. It reduces shine and gives a softer shelf appearance.
  • Glossy laminate: Good for retail gift lines, colorful variant labels, and designs that need higher visual pop. It also helps make photos, honeycomb graphics, and gold or amber tones look more vivid.
  • Special laminates: Holographic, Broken Glass, Snow Flakes, and Glitter are available for promotional batches or gift packaging. Use them carefully so required product details stay readable.

How to measure your honey container

Before ordering, measure the container area where the sticker will sit. Do not measure the whole jar height if the jar has shoulders, a taper, or a curved bottom. Measure only the straight wall height, then leave space above and below so the label does not wrinkle when applied.

For a wrap label, measure the jar or bottle circumference around the exact label area. Then subtract a small gap so the label ends do not overlap. Overlap can create a raised seam where honey residue, dust, or handling can start lifting the edge.

For front labels, measure the flat panel or the smoothest visible area. If the bottle is curved, a narrower label can apply more cleanly than a very wide one. For squeeze bottles, avoid placing important text on areas that bend heavily during use.

Leave room for the product name, net content, ingredient list, business name and address, lot or batch identification, and date marking if these apply to your product. If batch codes or expiry dates will be stamped or handwritten after printing, reserve a clear blank space with enough contrast.

Common honey label problems and how to prevent them

  • Peeling on curves: Choose a flexible PP material suited for curved containers and avoid designs that wrap too far around a tapered area.
  • Sticky residue near the rim: Keep the label away from drip-prone areas and use waterproof PP so the printed label surface is easier to wipe than paper-like indoor material.
  • Scuffing from repeated handling: Add matte or glossy lamination to protect the printed surface from normal handling during selling, packing, and home use.
  • Condensation or moisture: Use waterproof PP instead of Regular Satin or Hi-gloss when the label may be wiped or exposed to damp conditions.
  • Unreadable small text: Keep nutrition, ingredient, and batch/date areas clean, high contrast, and not placed over busy honeycomb patterns.

Artwork checklist for honey labels

  1. Send artwork as PDF, PNG, or AI at 300 DPI to hello@stickercentral.ph.
  2. Set the correct label size based on the straight wall height, circumference, or flat panel area of your jar or bottle.
  3. Prepare separate files or artboards for front label, back label, lid sticker, and seal sticker if needed.
  4. Leave a safe margin around text and logos so contour cutting or slight application movement will not trim important details.
  5. Keep a clear area for lot or batch identification and date marking if these will be stamped or handwritten after printing.
  6. For food label information, check current FDA Philippines requirements. Buyers often ask about product name, net content, ingredient list, name and address of manufacturer or distributor, lot or batch identification, and date marking.
  7. Use readable contrast for amber, gold, brown, or black backgrounds, especially on small jars.

How ordering works

Option 1: Self Service

You can order online without waiting for a quotation. Choose the sticker size and specs, upload your artwork or create it with the AI Design Generator, set the cut and quantity, then check out. This is useful when you already know your label size and material.

Option 2: Request a quotation

If you need help choosing material, finish, size, quantity, or a custom shape, create an account and request a quotation. Send your artwork, approve the proof, then we print and ship. Pricing depends on size, quantity, material, and finish, so please request a quotation for cost.
