Labels made for real pet-product packaging
Pet product labels have a different job from ordinary paper stickers. A pet shampoo bottle may sit in a bathroom or laundry area, a grooming spray may be grabbed with wet hands, and a treat pouch may be squeezed, opened, and resealed many times. For these conditions, we recommend PP White waterproof material with permanent adhesive so the label can handle moisture exposure and frequent handling better than non-waterproof indoor materials.
This page is for Philippine pet brands producing pet supplement bottles, grooming bottles, treat pouches, and pet shampoo labels. Sticker Central prints in Tiaong, Quezon and ships nationwide, with custom sizes, custom shapes, and contour cuts available within a maximum print area of 13 x 19 inches per sheet.
Recommended setup for pet supplements, grooming bottles, and treats
| Packaging type | Recommended label approach | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Pet shampoo and grooming bottles | PP Glossy White 2 or PP Matte White 2 with permanent adhesive | Useful for curved containers and waterproof applications where bottles may be handled in humid areas. |
| Pet supplement bottles | PP Glossy White 1 or PP Matte White 1 for smooth indoor bottles | Good for everyday indoor labels on smooth packaging when the bottle is stored away from heavy wet use. |
| Treat pouches | PP White waterproof label with permanent adhesive and a rounded-corner cut | Flexible pouches are touched often, so rounded corners help reduce edge lifting during handling. |
| Clear bottles or windows | PP Clear/Transparent for a no-background look | Works when you want the bottle or product color to show through the label design. |
Glossy vs matte for pet product branding
Glossy laminate is a strong choice for playful pet brands: bright colors, cartoon pets, flavor callouts, and grooming benefits tend to look more vibrant under gloss. It also gives a slick retail look for shampoo, spray, and treat labels.
Matte laminate is better when your line feels natural, gentle, veterinary-inspired, or minimalist. Matte reduces glare and gives a softer look, but very dark matte areas may show rub marks more easily than busy glossy artwork. If your pouch or bottle will be handled frequently at bazaars, grooming shops, or pet supply shelves, use enough contrast so the label stays readable even after repeated touching.
Specialty laminations such as holographic, broken glass, snow flakes, and glitter can be used for accent-heavy pet labels, but they should not cover critical text. Keep product name, variant, net content, directions, warnings, and contact details readable first.
How to size your pet product label
For bottles, do not measure the full bottle height. Measure only the straight wall height, which is the smooth area where the label can sit without crossing shoulders, tapering sections, seams, or grooves. Leave space above and below so the label does not wrinkle when applied.
For wraparound labels, measure the bottle circumference using a flexible tape, then subtract a small gap so the label ends do not overlap. A gap helps prevent peeling because overlapping edges can catch on hands, towels, or other bottles during packing and use.
For front-and-back bottle labels, measure the flat or least-curved front panel instead of forcing a large label around a tight curve. On small bottles, a narrower label often performs better because the adhesive is not fighting the curve at the edges.
For treat pouches, measure the flat display panel while the pouch is filled or shaped the way it will be sold. Avoid placing important text across gussets, heat seals, zipper areas, tear notches, or crimped edges. For flexible packaging, rounded rectangles are often safer than sharp-corner rectangles because the corners are less likely to lift.
What can go wrong, and how to prevent it
- Peeling on curved bottles: choose a material suited to curved containers, avoid oversizing, and leave a wrap gap instead of overlapping the label ends.
- Humidity and wet hands: use PP waterproof material instead of Regular Satin or Hi-gloss, which are indoor non-waterproof materials.
- Scuffing from frequent handling: add glossy or matte laminate so the print has extra surface protection during packing, selling, and daily use.
- Oil or residue on packaging: clean and dry the bottle or pouch surface before application. Adhesive bonds poorly to dusty, oily, or damp surfaces.
- Fading or unreadable details: use high-contrast artwork, 300 DPI files, and keep small regulatory or instruction text away from textured or curved edges.
Artwork checklist for pet product labels
- Send artwork as PDF, PNG, or AI at 300 DPI to hello@stickercentral.ph.
- Include the product name, variant, scent or flavor if applicable, net content, directions for use, storage notes, warnings, business name, and contact details as needed for your product.
- Pet food and pet care products may fall under Bureau of Animal Industry or FDA Philippines rules depending on the product; confirm which applies before printing final labels.
- Keep barcodes, QR codes, dosage text, directions, and warning text on flat readable areas.
- Add bleed and safe margins so borders, icons, and small text are not cut too close during trimming or contour cutting.
- Use rounded corners for pouch labels and small curved bottles to reduce the chance of lifted edges.
- If using transparent labels, check that white or pale text will still be readable against the actual bottle or product color.
How ordering works
You can order pet product labels in two ways. With Self Service, order online without waiting for a quotation: choose the sticker size and specs, upload your artwork or create it with the AI Design Generator, set the cut and quantity, then check out. This is helpful when you already know your size, material, finish, and quantity.
If you need help choosing specs or comparing label options, use the quotation route. Create an account, request a quotation, send your artwork, approve the proof, then we print and ship. Pricing is quoted per order based on size, quantity, material, and finish, so please request a quotation for cost questions.
For design, you have three options: make the artwork with the AI Design Generator while ordering, ask our design team to create it in Canva or Photoshop with a quotation, or send an existing file for free minor edits. After proof approval, production is 1-3 days. Orders ship through J&T Express, with transit estimates of 1-3 days for Luzon, 3-5 days for Visayas, and 4-7 days for Mindanao.
